NEEF Supports Tree Planting Event Engaging Hispanic Volunteers


NEEF was on hand in Houston, Texas January 31 as Hispanic families participated in a special volunteer event  honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service and Texas Arbor Day. This service project was part of the National Environmental Education Foundation’s (NEEF) Nuestros Espacios Verdes Día a Día or Our Green Spaces Every Day campaign.

Public Lands Friends Groups Get Capacity Building Boost


Washington, DC – More than $150,000 in capacity building grants were given to 35 Friends Groups across the country by the Public Lands Program of the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), in partnership with Toyota.

The list of Public Lands Every Day grantees is available online.

“It is often difficult to raise funds for strategic planning, communications and technology upgrades, but these activities are vital to the growth and engagement of Friends Groups, ” said Diane Wood, president of the National Environmental Education Foundation.
