Public Lands Friends Groups Get Capacity Building Boost


Washington, DC – More than $150,000 in capacity building grants were given to 35 Friends Groups across the country by the Public Lands Program of the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), in partnership with Toyota.

The list of Public Lands Every Day grantees is available online.

“It is often difficult to raise funds for strategic planning, communications and technology upgrades, but these activities are vital to the growth and engagement of Friends Groups, ” said Diane Wood, president of the National Environmental Education Foundation.

Land and Water Conservation Grant


The National Park Service State and Local Assistance Division is planning to award $3 million for land and water conservation assistance grants.

Every Day Event Grants Awarded to 50 Organizations


Thanks to the generous support of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc, fifty nonprofit public lands partners received up to $2,000 each to host over 150 events that feature educational, recreational and stewardship-based activities on public lands.
